Training & E-Learning

A management system is no good if the workforce do not understand a) the principles of quality, environmental, or health and safety management, say (depending on what exact type of management system it is), or b) the nature of ISO, auditing and other compliance-oriented insights. We provide training to make sure the workforce fully understands the principles of the ISO standards and management systems – the latter varying depending on the type of management system employed.

Types of training we offer

Introduction

Our introduction courses provide an overview of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and its role in developing global standards. It explains the purpose and structure of ISO standards, focusing on key systems like ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), and others. The course introduces key principles such as continual improvement, risk-based thinking, and the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle. It aims to help participants understand the value of standardisation in improving efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction across industries.

Internal Auditor

ISO requires you conduct an internal audit at least annually when you have your ISO certificate. Some organizations like to outsource this process to us, but others like to train their own staff to carry out these audits. Completing this type of course fulfills the latter, as it educates delegates on not only the standard(s) / discipline(s) in question, but also the key principles of auditing.

Implementer

Implementing a management system – be it quality, environmental or health and safety – is a difficult process. It involves balancing both the requirements of the standard and the organisation, which at times may conflict and require resolutions. An implementer course gears delegates towards this process, covering the details not only of the standard(s) / discipline(s) involved, but the key actions required to manage the implementation process from the very start to the very end.

Conversion

The nature of ‘conversion’ courses varies significantly depending on the exact requirements of the delegates. Put simply, though, it is training which builds on an existing disciplinary / auditing skill-set. For instance, a delegate who has already completed an ISO 9001 QMS Internal Auditor may wish to expand their role to internal auditing for ISO 14001 EMS. Rather than take an entire new ISO 14001 Internal Auditor, a conversion course covers all extra knowledge required on top of their original QMS qualification to meet this need, saving time, money… and, of course, energy!
