What is the Difference Between ISO 9001 and AS 9100 D?

- AS 9100 D requires a First Article Inspection (FAI) to prove that production tooling and processes can reliably build a part to specification before full production begins.
- Some unique terminology, like “Key Characteristics” (features which require specific control because of their high risk to safety) and “Critical Items.”
